In this session we will explore a very underrated, unknown but important type of caching that is available to you out of the box in WordPress: transients. We will explore what it is, how can it benefit your site and of course, how to use with practical examples.

I am a WordPress fanatic. I have been using WordPress for almost 10 years (getting old I know!) out of Costa Rica. I am also an organizer for WordCamp San Jose, Costa Rica, which is one of the most popular WordCamps in Latin America.
I love pushing the Web forward with what I know, have learned and have given to others. I am currently employed by GreenGeeks and do some Web development of my own.
When I am not into my WordPress mode, I am a family guy. Love my kids, my partner and being around friends.
